afternoon all..
does anybody here belong to the 'spade club' that subscription site run
by cardplayer/shulman group? if so...do you think it's worth it?

Kind of a waste of time. Only the large (300+ runners) tourneys make
with any regularity and the payoffs are weak even for the multistage
events (where you have to win a "token" to enter). It's not a bad
spot to practice large mtt strategies, but since no tourney actually
costs any money, the play in the first 4 or 5 rounds is nothing like a
tourney where people actually paid money to enter. I find that
pushing right of the bat w/ AA or KK in an early round is a viable way
to double up in these tournaments, where you probably win the blinds
in a "real" tourney.

Someone in my home game belongs to it and enjoys it. They were talking
about it last night. Someone there also mentioned WPTClub or ClubWPT
(Something like that). Two of them belong to that site and gave it good
reviews.
I don't have any personal knowledge of them though.
