Someone posted a question about the site that tracks your tourney results and that prompted me to take a look back to this summer before I took my little vacation.... In less than 2 months from the end of June to the middle of August I won $14,500 in just online tournies AND I won a seat in the WSOP.....AND I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT. NOTHING. Someone post the sound bite of Rick James from the Chapelle show saying "Cocaine is a helluva drug." thanks _______________________________________________________________________ : the next generation of web-newsreaders : http://www.recgroups.com

Does it say how much you paid in entry fees? One number isn't relevant without the other.

Cash won in live play and side games online more than paid for the entree fees. I just can't manage money. ---- looking for a better newsgroup-reader? - www.recgroups.com

A saying I once heard was something like this . If you cant live on 1000 a month you wont be able to live on a million a month. The meaning is if you cant manage your money it doesnt matter how much you have. I have a similar problem. Come to think of it a lot of gamblers do too. Can we say Character Flaw?

There is no way in the world I could live off of 1000 a month, fortunately I don't have to. _______________________________________________________________ Block Lists, Favorites, and more - http://www.recpoker.com

I could, have, and sometimes have to, though fortunately, very infrequently. Here in the mountains of virginia the cost of living is very cheap. Hell there is one place that has $100 a month rent. A lot of people across the country live on less than 1000 a month. I dont have to either, but I could do it.

Yeah, I really ought to move. I have a very good deal for where I am, but I am in pricey country in a tourist beach town. I just somehow got settled here. I am sure I could increase my standard of living elsewhere. He doesn't owe taxes on the WSOP seat, that was a satellite to another tournament, and just brings the cost basis for his tournament down to the cost of his satellite. (Warning, not a tax expert or accountant, that is what I remember Russ Fox writing once, and he IS an expert) _______________________________________________________________ Watch Lists, Block Lists, Favorites - http://www.recpoker.com
