Seriously... Live tourney. Blinds 50/100. I have 1700. Player to my right has 2300. I get dealt JJ. Player to my right raises to 300. I call. We see the flop heads up. Flop 772. He checks, I move in. He INSTACALLS with A4o. Turns an ace. Then when he wins the hand (I'm already up and leaving) he calls out to me "nice hand." He was ahead of what? Did he think I had K high? Q high? Seriously... Just witnessed this a few minutes ago. 50c/1 table. A few limpers, BB makes it $6, UTG calls. Flop 73J 2 clubs. BB checks, UTG bets $16, BB check-raises all-in for $114. UTG thinks for a while and calls his last $53 with Qs9h. BB has KK and stacks him. Morphy http://donkeymanifesto.blogspot.com ----- * kill-files, watch-lists, favorites, and more.. www.recgroups.com

His calling cards? K4o to my q's, Q2o to my j's, A4o to my k's. The last hand he called my allin, took me out on the river. So what?

Maybe he was just stupid or maybe he knew that if he hits his ace you will give him your whole stack?

Tonite at work dealing $4-8 Hold Em, a guy called an $8 bet into a small pot on the river with ten high = T9 and split the pot with the bettor who also had T9. Another night a guy tried to buy an $8 pot, heads up and checked to the river. He bet $8 into the $8 pot with a busted straight draw, 76 and was called by a new player with a jack high !! On second thought they both won so I guess they were good calls !! Never mind....... 1BigDave On Dec 15 2006 2:33 PM, Alan Gilbert aka brewmaster wrote: > Seriously... > > Live tourney. The worst call in the history of poker would probably have to be the huge, countless-way tie (growing by the day) between all 7-stud players who have ever called a river bet when they can't beat their opponent's boards. I think that has to be the worst, by definition. I've seen several of those.
