eating doesnt bother me as much as when a smoker comes back from break and
doesnt have the decency to put in a piece of gum or a mint.

disclosure- i smoke.

The eating is annoying, but since I must admit to eating at the table on
several occasions (sometimes it really has to be done), I can't complain
too much.

Anyway, I think the massages are worse. Sometimes you gotta eat, but you
never gotta get a damn massage.

By the way, when it comes to five dollar cheeseburgers, nothing beats
Artichoke Joe's.

If it gets Helmuth to shut the fuck up for a minute or two then I'm all
for food at the table.

My local B&M has a lot of people eating at the tables. Only banned
food, they used to have bags of microwave popcorn, that oil could
distroy a new deck of cards in no time.

When I am at a regular home game we can eat at the table and the host serves
tons of good food. We all rotate hosting. One rule is Wings are banned. The
sauce on the cards makes it no fun to deal.

I find egg salad revolting. Only thing worse is watching someone eat egg salad
with his mouth open.

Don't bother coming to Casino Arizona. Come to think of it I don't think
you'll like any of the LA rooms, either.

You'd hate playing in California, then. People eat all the time here
and, in the top sections, the food is free; consequently, people in
these sections eat constantly.

Exactly, and I understand why free food is provided but don't they realize they
will eventually kill us off? I gain huge amounts of weight when I play for a
week or two and then spend a month or two trying to lose it!

"I gain huge amounts of weight when I play for a week or two"

Two questions. First, how much is this "huge amount" of weight you gained
in a week? Second, do you eat more because you are sitting down for hours
at a time, or because some one will give you all the food you can eat for
free?

10% weight gain on the average gambling junket.

What can I say, free food tastes that much better! Free drinks are even worse,
plus eating fills the time. I rarely buy food at a card room and I usually eat
away from the table.  How can you eat at a 9 or 10 handed table anyway?

Look at the average poker player and tell me that wieght/health is not a problem
with this sport?
