This wacko nut job calls Bob Kerrey (Medal of Honor for service in Vietnam) a
mass murderer and serial killer. University of Colo seems to have difficulty
firing this guy. What an example for our young people.

Hey, that's funny. When Churchill was referring to the people killed
in the WTC on 9/11 as "little Eichmanns" many of us were saying he
ought to lose his job for it. At the time, the usual representatives
from the left here were telling us we were full of shit and that it was
a case of free speech. Now he's besmirched the reputation of a
Democratic politician and you think he ought to lose his job. I wonder
how many of the same folks are going to tell you how full of shit you
are.

I don't recall ever defending him. I hate him, but I will defend his
right to say whatever he wants. The U of C had a hard time firing him
because he had tenure and technically hadn't violated his contract.

"Following an investigation of Churchill's past research, the University's
Standing Committee on Research Misconduct recommended Churchill be
sanctioned for repeated acts of "serious research misconduct." On June 26,
2006, CU Interim Chancellor Phil DiStefano issued a notice of intent to
dismiss Churchill from his faculty position at the University of Colorado
Boulder.[2] Churchill has been "relieved of his duties by interim
chancellor Phil DiStefano, but he will stay on the CU payroll until the
termination is final."[3] Some observers concerned with academic freedom
argue that the investigation is in retaliation for Churchill's
controversial statements about the World Trade Center attacks.[4][5]
Churchill has filed an appeal against his proposed dismissal."
This violated his contract, so they could fire him.
