i was looking at espns ranking of the top free agents - It has ted lilly who
singed with the cubs as the 10 best freeagent and it has barry zito as the 12th
best . what am i missing zito is younger with much better stats . thanks in
advance estebanAA

Lilly consistenly has one of the worst WHIPs in baseball, so I have no
idea why he is ranked so highly.

Zito hasn't signed yet. That's a deterent to being a good fantasy
baseball player.

Zito has played his entire career in one of the best pitcher's parks around.
His stats are bound to come down wherever he ends up. As for Lilly, everyone
suspects he'll post better numbers in the NL rather than the AL. Just the DH
alone usually adds/subtracts around 0.2 and 0.02 to ERA and WHIP to changing
leagues on average.

If he ends up in Shea, his numbers may improve. Well, at least until the
Mets move into ThisOneIsNotaShitHole Park, or whatever they're calling the
one they're building.
