SET: Pocket pair makes trips= 10 outs. TRS: Trips (no pocket pair) = 10 outs. PRP: Pocket Pair to hit set = 2 outs. OC1: 1 OverCard to a pair = 3 outs PR2: 2 Pairs for Full Hours = 4 outs. PRK: Pair and Kicker = 5 outs. Outside straight-flush is 15 Outs, not 17, because two of the 8 straight outs are duplicated in the flush draw. Inside straight-flush is 12 Outs, not 13, because one out is duplicated in the flush draw. On the Flop SET or TRS: Trips = 8 outs potential, not 7. 3F2: 2-card 3-flush = 2 outs. 3F1: 1-card 3-flush boss card = 2 outs. 3S3: solid 3-way 3-straight = 1 out. 3S2: 1-gap 2-way 3-straight = 1 out. 3S1: 2-gap 1-way 3-straight = 1 out. In close calls, a solid 3S3 is worth an extra half out more, a single-gap 3S2 is 1, and a double-gap 3S1 is worth half an out less. Step 1) Count pot bets for outs needed to call; Step 2) Count outs Call Overlays, Fold Underlays. No Division! No Multiplication! No Subtraction! Only Addition to master the Turmel2Step. Do not use the Rule of Four. Always get full pot odds for the very next card to balance times you are drawing dead. Subtract implied bets only when drawing to the cinch. An Overcard's THREE Outs need 14 bets keeping chase alive, A Pair with TWO needs 22, a Quad's ONE, 45. CHAPTER 3 Counting bets in the pot 1-CARD FLUSH DRAWS 1-card 4-flush outs on the Turn One hand in 15, you'll be on the Turn with a 1-card 4-flush draw where the rank is very importants since outs degrade as the card gets lower and number of opponents rises. Luckily, there are only 6 different danger classes of 1-card draws to be memorized for 1-5 opponents. Flush Ace threatening If the flush Ace is not on board and still threatens, reduce your draw ranking by 1. 1-card 4-flush outs on the Flop A 1-card 4-flush on the flop occurs one time in 60 and is treated the same way. 1-card 3-flush outs on the Flop About one third of the time, you'll have to add 1 out for a 1-card 3-flush draw or 0 outs if it's the bottom five cards against three or more opponents.
