Easy to explain.

1) RAZZ is a simple game;

2) You are intelligent;

3) The way people on Stars play RAZZ is atrocious (for example, I
regularly have people calling me when I have 63A showing, and they have
KK9 showing).

I've been playing HORSE sngs lately, and I get most of my chips in the
Razz rounds.

Are you serious? I quit playing HORSE SNGs because everybody stalls during
the razz portion. I have repeatedly sent emails to Stars asking them to
change the blind structure to make it according to the number of hands
instead of timed levels. I wish more would do likewise.

Are you kidding. Stall the hold-em levels, that game is a freakin' luck
box in HORSE.

I am looking for ROSE tournaments. F the HE.

I usually play the Sunday 215 HORSE, and the Razz rounds are a veritable
goldmine.  The game is so simple, yet people play so poorly it is amazing.
People are more likely to stall in the hold em rounds in the bigger tourneys.

You know how lakes have rules to limit how many fish you can legally catch, to
preserve the population?  Perhaps, in a similar vein, we can agree to stop
commenting on the number of people playing badly in Razz.  Before they catch on,
you know?   Gotta preserve the fish population.  :)

In the midst of the excitment of playing and winning my first razz tourney...I
missed the registration for the Nightly 100K by 2 minutes...:(

But thanks to all who gave me a quick run-down on the basics of the game.  You
are all indeed wonderful teachers.

Heh. I did give props to RGP, and even spelled out rec.gambling.poker,
so unless that gets edited out people will be able to look up the
actual thread! Which some might do.

Since A) They were mostly my words, and B) nothing was said that all of
us who play Razz professionally didn't already know: No. I also don't
ask permission when I quote rules from a rulebook, or explanations from
an encyclopedia though, or when I say 'A fastball should be thrown
fast, and a curve ball should be thrown with spin'.

I do name Nick by name and give him credit as the inspiration for the
article, though.

Maybe if I got paid for my weekly piece. :) All I get is a measure of
satisfaction and fame. So I'll give you 50% of the satisfaction and 17
percent of the fame this week! :)

I've always been a Stones fan...and I suppose 50% satisfaction is better than no
satisfaction.

In dedication of your first Razz win, my Wise Hand Poker article this
week is going to be a compilation of the primer stuff we spammed at you
before and during the tournament. :) Congrats again.

Are you going to ask people who posted for their permission before
compiling their words into your article?
