Subject: Seeking RGP regulars as guests for talk show

Today I have started up a half-hour Internet radio show that focuses on
online poker. What I would like to have on the show is three to five
RGP regulars to discuss rec.gambling.poker on it. The show is for the
recreational online poker player who might also be the occasional
brick-n-mortar poker-room "vacation" poker player. This isn't a show
for poker professionals or those wanting to become one. Why I would
like to interview RGP regulars is because I have found this newsgroup
to be an excellent resource for online poker newbies. I was one such
newbie not too long ago and I learned a lot from this newsgroup.

So what I would appreciate is if people could nominate RGP regulars
here that have been long-time regulars, good citizens of this
newsgroup, and know what they're talking about as far as both RGP and
poker go. They can be poker professionals or recreational poker
players since the topic is the newsgroup and not themselves. What they
cannot be is associated with an online poker site since those
individuals are for other episodes on the show. I will then contact
the RGP regulars to see if they would be interested in appearing on the
show. I would like at least one of them to be a woman if possible.

What I would also appreciate is being cautioned on who not to have on
the show. I have no desire to have a RGP troll or nutcase on the show.
Please list those here as well as so I don't unknowingly invite them.

The show is titled "Online Poker with Scott Jensen". Yup, I'm Scott.
I have recorded the first episode which introduces the show. It is
currently the only episode listed (as of the posting of this post),
titled "Introduction", and is 23 minutes long. I realize it is rough,
but I do plan to redo it from time to time as the show matures and
changes ... and as I become a better host. Here's a link to its
webpage:

Thanks in advance!

I can do it.  I've been semi-regular here for a little while, although I was
away for a few months recently.  I don't really know what I'm talking about so
much when it comes to poker, but I do like to talk, that is for sure.

Aw hell, forget about it.  I nominate Pokerchimp, Peg, or Tanya for your female
guest, if any of them are so inclined.

I'm beginning to wonder if YOU are a troll with a flamebait question
like that. Sure, let's nominate each other as nutcases, and then
watch the fun that generates.

He seems sincere to me but the temptation to mislead him is almost
irresistible.

What's the over/under on how many replies before Ramashiva gets mentioned?

Contact my trust attorney, financial planner and tax adviser. If you can
get those crooked bastards to agree, I'll do your show. BTW, if they do
agree, run outside and see if a star rose in the East because it will be

Seconded. Though other folks are more high profile, Tanya and Fell have
seen success, and well known within the community, and have a synergy

But of course any panel without William Coleman on it would be a sad

Apparently Yoko made John happier than the band did at that point. Beatles
were already at odds with each other anyway. Apparently Tanya make fell
happier than poker at this point. I hope some disgruntled fanboy doesn't
try to shoot him or anything. (please note sarcastic tone)
