Yesterday we were all treated to the spectacle of a tearful (and very chastened) Miss America, 21-year-old Tara Connor, turning on the waterworks as she gratuitously heaped praise on the King of New York. At first, it appeared that the purpose of this "news conference" was to announce that Miss America was going into rehab for alcoholism. But as Tara's adulation and praise for Donald Trump mounted like a pile of steaming elephant dung - "Donald Trump has a heart of gold!" (sniff, sniff) - two things became abundantly clear. First, the Donald's biggest weakness is YOUNG beautiful women. He just can't bring himself to crush a fox like Tara - irrespective of what she may have done to disgrace her tiare. (Of course, the Donald has no trouble knifing a washed up hag in her 60's - like Martha Stewart.) Second, Tara Connor is not quite the na=EFve clueless little girl from Kentucky that she would have everyone believe. In fact, Tara would probably make a great poker player. She knew everybody was expecting the Donald to tell her, "You're fired!" as she entered Trump Tower, but Tara had a perfect read on the Donald. Tara turned on the tearful remorse - along with a healthy dose of stroking the Donald's boundless ego. Combined with her incredible beauty, it was a combination that made the Donald fold like a cheap paper bag. The final "piece de resistance" occurred when Tara began singing the lyrics from a .38 Special song to the Donald: Second Chance - 38 Special Since you been gone, I feel my life slipping away I look to the sky, And everything is turnin' grey All I made was one mistake, How much more will I have to pay? Why can't you think it over? Why can't you forget about the past? CHORUS: When love makes this sound Donald A heart needs a second chance, Don't put me down Mr. Trump Can't you see I love you? Since you been gone, I've been in a trance This heart needs a second chance Don't say it's over, I just can't say goodbye After this tearful serenade, the Donald's top aides were thunderstruck. The Donald appeared stunned - as if he was on the verge of tears himself. When the Donald regained his composure, he immediately told Tara that she was "like a daughter" to him and "we are going to work this out." The second hour of the two hour board room meeting was spent hashing out how the Donald (and Tara) would explain all this to the media. And that's how Tara Connor REALLY managed to keep her crown. :-))) Alan C. Lawhon Huntsville, Alabama

Donald Trump is worth 3.4 billion dollars. Apparently a good haircut costs 3.5.

So she parties in clubs, drinks, and hooks up with guys like 90% of girls her age. What's the big deal? Does anyone in the year 2006 really expect Miss America to be a church-going virgin? > (Of course, the Donald has no trouble knifing a washed up hag in her 60's > - like Martha Stewart.) Martha Stewart's Apprentice was terrible, and was a ratings disaster. It didn't need Donald to get it off the air.

I think it was the underage drinking in clubs, snorting coke in clubs, kissing the Miss Teen USA and other allegations that were a "disgrace" to the crown. But let's be real here. It's the Miss USA pagent. It's the beauty pagent for pole dancers and skanks. You know the type. If you asked a guy who he would want to bang it would be Miss USA. Ask him who he wants to bring home to his parents, it's Miss America. ____________________________________________________________________ RecGroups : the community-oriented newsreader : www.recgroups.com

(NTTAWWT) Well I don't set my tivo to record either but if I'm our surfing and run across one of these shows, sure I'll stop and see the carnage. Ya see, if I run across the Miss America pageant it reminds me of some formal wedding where all the attendees are stuck up bitches that want nothing to do with me. If I find the Miss USA pageant it reminds me of the entertainers at the bachelor party the night before the wedding. Sure, the woman still want nothing to do with me but I'm just window shopping anyway. _______________________________________________________________________ RecGroups : the community-oriented newsreader : www.recgroups.com

The Donald understands that she needs to practice screwing so she'll be prepared to have her son John - the John Connor who will lead humanity's fight against the machines.

More likely there was a little "Lewinsky" action going on...
