Subject: San Diego Poker Question

I will be in San Diego for only 36 hours in January. I would like to
spend the Saturday evening I will be there playing poker, of course.
My web research suggests that Sycuan or Viejas are my best bet, though
I cannot find on the web how many tables Sycuan has.

I would love to hear advice from a local: Where am I likely to find
someplace reasonably close to SD that has enough tables that I won't
risk getting shut out of a game for the brief time I will be there?

many thanks for the advice.

I'm not a local, but travel to SD frequently. I have always enjoyed Sycuan the
most. They have a big room and you will always find some good low stakes games
going (maybe 2-5 NL is the biggest). None of the rooms are that close to
downtown, but they are maybe the closest of the ones you would consider. Plus,
they are a full casino.

If you just want poker and some bigger games, you probably want to head north to
Oceans 11. They have bigger stakes going and its easy to get to, just off the
interstate.

Haven't played at Viejas, but I hear the rake there is brutal. Barona is ok
also, but don't drive the road to get there drunk!

Hope that helps.
