Subject: Question to good SNG players

I love playing SNG's. I'm plying since march (ring games), and about 2
months ago I started
playing 2-3 SNG's a day. Nothing big. Started at 0.11c to and building
bankroll (u laugh now. I know :)) to play at bigger. Now I'm playing
1.10$. And I wanted to ask You good SNG players at what level
u think one can say if he's playing well. On this 1.10$ SNG's I loose to
fucking fishes that call my 5xBB raise preflop when I hold AA and they
call it from early pos with 7Ts and catch flush on flop. I raise 5xBB with
KK and get called someone holding QK and the flop is 9TJ. I bet 4xBB from
early pos with 66 when some people are already out. Flop is all low cards.
I go allin (I have small stack now) and get called by A3o and river is A.
I raise 5xBB with AKo and get called by UTH holding 65o - he catches 56.
When I ask why he called he says he just feels lucky. They call me altough
I play tight so they must put me on something big when I rasie 5xBB. I
just dont know am I fish or just unlucky? Maybe I am a fish but I dont
call 5xBB with 7Q. I just lost 3 SNG's in a row after raising with monster
hands preflop and getting called by hands I wouldn't even limp in from
button.

I have to add that I'm doing well on ring games. From 5$ no deposit bonus
I made more then 360$ so it's not that I don't know anything about poker.
I read about it every day. When I see example hands in Harrington on
Hold'em all is so logic. U have AA raised preflop and get called by one
player. Flop is 772 and u just know u have best hand. But in real life, ur
already out because someone called You with 7Ts.

I would like to ask You what where You're begginings at SNG's. At what
buyins u started to see that people play normaln poker? My ITM% right now
is 45% after playing 39SNG's. It sucks I know. But is is possible to be
bigger when others are playing for fun, and when I ask them why they do
what they do they say - C'mon it's only 1 dollar. Yeah, nothing big. But I
play to win

39 SNGs is nothing. Really, really nothing... statistically
insignificant. If you keep getting it in with the best of it,
you'll do OK over the long run. Think 200+, though.

39% is not a bad ITM rate, though ROI is a much more interesting
number.

first of all try to pay the less possible rake because the rake is very
big on stngs. you can play stngs of 18 seats where the rake take part a
lot less. on the 9stngs the rake is really big.

Not very good advice. While you may be paying more rake in a 1 table vs.
a 2 table SNG, you more than make up for it in $ won/hour. The 2 most
important stats in SNGs are ROI and hourly winnings.
