I have 100% ironclad info that your favorite pokerroom will be back by
February 1st of next year. They are putting their own payment
processors in place and purchasing 2 banks in Europe so that when they
re-open the doors to US players they will be at the mercy of NOBODY.
PARTY POKER RULES!

Anyone can start up a poker site and say they welcome US players. The
issue remains the same..... how to make it really easy & safe to get your
account funded.

so US players will still have to open up a bank account in Europe?
i suppose the hardcore online players will, but the great majority of
US players wont. if they cant do the transaction thru their regular
hometown bank, then its not worth the hassle.

No, if this is true, the European banks would be used by Party. U.S.
players would deposit from their own banks to Party's agent (which would
not itself be a gambling site). That agent would in turn transfer the
funds to Party's banks.

I said I prefer live games, which I do. However, I play on line
extensively. BTW, I said they are "computer games", which they are. I did
not say they were "video games".

Sounds like good news if it's true. Party Poker was the largest site and
offered the greatest selection of ring games and tournaments. Their
tournament pay outs were larger than any of the other sites I know of and
their bad beat jack pot was frequently in the $300K+ range. In addition, a
large percentage of Party's US customer base switched to other poker sites
so Party will have to offer some attractive promotions to get them back.

fuck partypoker. I'm sure they made more with picking up stock dirt cheap
while screwing US players than if they had stayed open.

That's a bit harsh lass. How did they "screw" US players? They announced
they were leaving the US market and, as far as I know, players got the money
that was in their accounts.

I predicted this after they executed a massive stock rebuy. They needed
enough time to make th rebuy look incidental, but not enough time for
too many of their players to change their E-mail addresses. If this
happens Q1 of next year, I wouldn't be shocked at all.
