I have now been away for a total of 33 hours straight. I cant sleep. Its
the damn drugs man. Avoid them.

Since my "AS" kicked into high gear there are many times I am up over 30 hours
at a time (at least once a week)
there are also days where I will go 5 or so days and have a total of 5 hours
sleep/
Sometimes I will be up for 20 hours sleep for 2 hours and be up for another 20
hours.
It sucks big time does it not.

Other than the pain/meds issues I had for the last year, one of my worst
weeks ever was back in March. My plane arrived in New Jersey Sunday
afternoon. I had a nice relaxing afternoon and nice dinner. Woke up at
6am Monday morning, and between then and Thursday at noon, I had less than
8 hours of sleep.
It was a disaster recovery exercise for my company. Everything imaginable
went wrong, and even a few things that apparently other groups never
thought could go wrong that affected us. The biggest problem was that we
had to try and stay sharp and focused to bring the servers back up and
online. I really wish I had painkillers then!

I am glad Im not the only one. The painkillers I am on had me a little
wired up. I have sleep medicine too, but the mix of the two makes me
sick. I will probably have about a weeks worth of sleepless nights
followed by 20 hours of sleep. It really does suck
