Subject: OT: Most ignorant post of the day

There is a local Sam's Club in my area. A few years ago it seemed
like
every time I walked in that place there were lesbian couples in that
store.
I would go in looking for them. I always found them. One of the most
sickening things I ever saw was a lesbian couple, both had butch haircuts.
They walked past me. And following them was their young eleven or twelve
year old daughter who also had a butch haircut. That is a form of child
abuse in my opinion. To force a young girl to become a lesbian is
disgusting. To force her to have a butch haircut is criminal. Those
woman
should be thrown in jail for that abuse.

The fact that the post happens to be about lesbians is not what makes it
ignorant. What makes it ignorant is to stereotype people by their
haircuts, and accuse them of child abuse because their daughter has a
similar haircut. I could care less about people being PC. It's just a
really stupid post.

Alan, I'm not offended personally, or even because I am a lesbian (albeit
with long hair). In fact, I'm not offended at all. I just thought the
post was mega stupid. Why can't I post an opinion without being

Aha, trouserhog, you are right. I thought stupid was a synonym for
ignorant, but indeed I am ignorant. According to Roget's "stupid refers
to lack of ability while ignorant refers to lack of knowledge." So I am
back to my original indictment of his post as ignorant.
Now, I am not sure what to call someone who reads a post by someone who,
in that post, declares SHE is a lesbian, and then calls that person
"buddy."

hot garbage to be disgusting but there is nothing more that i like to do on a
july day in the city then to stick my nose in the city garbage cans.
