So we have several unsupervised children running down the streets of
Iraq for a bottle of water. Perhaps Iraq isn't as unsafe as some
people lead us to believe.

No. I'd be afraid of getting shot. How bout you? Do you like being

Anyway, I don't have to worry about that because I live in the United

There is no comparison between the two videos. In one you have a bunch of
grown up men teasing a bunch of children. In another you have a bunch of
children defending their country and religious beliefs, at least as they
think it to be. If this another piece of RGP sarcasm, i apologize, but I
think it's just more rgper ignorance ole.

No, and a lot of people tell me I have a lousy sense of humor too!
Speaking of which, I discussed BORAT with a movie critc for USA Today over
Thanksgiving dinner (Mike Clark, he is a very good friend of my brother's
and we always have T-day together). He thought that parts of the movie
were funny, but that he thinks the guy is pretty much a one hit wonder and
people will tire of him sooner rather than later. My brother, sister in
law and nephew more or less agreed.

person has asked her yet. See? A bunch of shallow

The cats are good. They were well taken care of. Smudge seems to have
gotten even fatter, and Sidney is getting pretty big. I had someone visit
twice a day, and I left the DVD "Cat Nip" in for them on a 2 hour loop. I
think they really enjoyed it. I called them twice a day, because I know
they could hear me through the answering machine. My family thinks I am a
nut case. Which I am. I definitely missed them more than they missed me.
Sidney met me at the door, but Smudge was lying on a chair on the porch
until I went out to pet her. She has actually let me pick her up 3 times,
and I've spent about an hour rubbing her belly, chin, jowls and behind her
ears.

Last night (when I wasn't here) the sitter accidentially left the door
open for a moment and Sidney ran out and had a little adventure. My
sitter and 2 neighbors were chasing him around and trying to lure him, but
he was just toying with them. He came in on his own. I went to pick up
my computer from being serviced and he did the same to me. He was having
a great time. I have a lot of trees and bushes where I am, and he was
climbing all over the place. I went inside and he came running in a few
minutes later.

Anyway, I went out and got them about 2 dozen crickets and they had a
great time. I think all in all they are happy I am home

Once you understand cats they can be very cool.  I had always had dogs but last

They're all wonderful. Dogs and cats both. I'm glad Arlo has some cats
now, and I'm glad Pokerchimp came home to find her cats were alright. So I
don't want to de-rail this thread, but I'll briefly comment that I just
don't understand how the Koreans or any people in other parts of the world
can eat them. It's not right. A dog will PROTECT you, for chrissakes. A
dog will risk its life to protect your family. So how the fuck can those
people eat dogs and cats? It ain't right! It violates the natural order of
things.

Wow. Something we finally agree on chimp. To me, this is sicker than the
Abu Ghraib stuff. At least those were prisoners of war, who had tried to
kill our troops. While I found that incident sickening as well, this poor
Kid has nothing to do with the war, the insurgency, or the politics. That
soldier should be put on bread and NO WATER for 7 days, or better yet, the
same, but with the bottle of water just out of his reach. Why is it always
a few fucking morons who have to make us look like shit to the rest of the
world.

There's a lot of gray area between "successful" and "superstar".
Regularly working for good pay sounds like success to me, and he's been
building a following for at least 8 years now. In the fickle world of
entertainment that hardly qualifies as a flash-in-the-pan.

Every superstar fades. So what?
