For those who cannot wait for more exciting Slots action: In addition to the Racinos, PA issued several licenses for standalone slots casinos. The Philly winners were Foxwoods for a site near the stadium complex and a group developing the riverfront north of Center City. Trump did not get a license. Out of the city, two other licenses were issued to the Sands developing the old Bethlehem Steel site and one of the Poconos applicants. The applicant in Gettysburg did not qualify. There was some talk of expanding to full casinos with tables and poker, but this will not happen for several years, if ever.

Hooray. My hometown turns down these carpetbagging assholes. >There was some talk of expanding to full casinos with tables and poker, but >this will not happen for several years, if ever. While I think people should be free to do any stupid shit they like, having only slots legal while illegalizing nearly everything else is like legalizing crack and making pot a felony. It's insane. Slots are the most worthless degenerate gambler shit, and provide utterly nothing to society. I'd rather have a crack house next door. The process by which this all happened is as corrupt and crooked as you get in politics. Meanwhile, casino poker is illegal. Thank you, Ed Rendell.

Trump's proposed casino was in a shithole section of Philly near Roosevelt Blvd, virtually inaccessible during rush hours. To be fair to these carpetbaggers, the area near 30-15 where the casino was proposed is loaded already with shit and a casino wouldnt do much to make it worse. > >There was some talk of expanding to full casinos with tables and poker, but > >this will not happen for several years, if ever. > > While I think people should be free to do any stupid shit they like, having > only slots legal while illegalizing nearly everything else is like legalizing > crack and making pot a felony. If the slots casinos don't work as planned, your proposal will be given a look. Just so long as the right people can develop the crackhouses. > > The process by which this all happened is as corrupt and crooked as you > get in politics. Meanwhile, casino poker is illegal. Thank you, Ed Rendell. My hope is when the Lehigh Bankrobber gets out of jail, he can walk from class to the new Slot Palace and dump his tuition legally!
