Daniel Negreanu wrote a very touching piece in his new blog about how he won a 3
person tournament againts two terminally ill kids and how proud he was to beat
them in his own house. You're the man, Daniel. Check this out.
"I instructed Zach to deal fast and he was firing the cards out top speed. I
can't believe I'm about to write this... but the kid punk'd me on a big pot,
bluffing the river with squadoosh! I couldn't help but say aloud, "I can't
believe I just got bluffed by a 12 year old!" How embarrassing!
Anyway, that just made me a hot sucker and I put the peddle to the metal. On a
flop of 8-4-3 we got it all in when I had 8-10 to his 8-9. Yeah baby, still
champion of my own house! ".
Yeah, way to own those sick kids. As if that wasn't bad enough, check out what
may be the poorest choice of wording in the history of the English language.
"The limo was waiting patiently so we had to say our goodbyes. They were good
kids and I can totally tell that Matt is dying to be 21! He promises me that
I'll be seeing him at a final table in 5 years... I'll be waiting."
Yeah, way to challenge that dying kid to a rematch well after you know he's
going to pass away, you sick fuck. I can't wait to see the replies from all the
Daniel nut-swingers of RGP trying to defend this one.

When was the last time you hosted ANYTHING in your home for terminally
ill kids?
So I guess you know exactly how much he wins in the cash games he plays
in? Tournament poker isn't the only kind of poker that's out there.
Also, IIRC he won a circuit event earlier this year. When was the last
$10,000 buy in tournament that you won? It's real easy to talk shit about
someone when you KNOW you'll never be at their level. I'm not saying this
as a fan of DN, but out of all the high profile players out there he is
one of the best people in poker(player/spokesman.)

Some people get a little pissy when you point out that they were wrong. It's
o.k, kid. Just continue to buy all of Negreanu's indorsed products and tell
yourself that you're going to make it big someday.
In either case, you're right. Those kids had it coming. Maybe dying children
will think twice about making their dying wish a chance to play Negreanu. After
all, if he beats you, he will tell everyone on his blog that he kicked the shit

The kids were into him because of who he is and how he is. Do you think
they wanted him to soft-play them? Do you think they want his pity?
Pity, they get from everybody. Nobody wants as much pity as they get, and
nobody wants pity from their heroes. DN isn't my hero, but he was theirs,
and I don't think he should have done much differently when he was with
them.
He could have written about it differently, if he didn't want to offend
Atticus. But I suspect he wasn't concerned about that.

Let's face it - if he had done his good deeds in private no one would
have said a thing. Maybe some other "poker stars" would have done
likewise.
My first reaction when I heard about how he wrote about it was "oh
shit did he REALLY say that??" I'd have preferred he didn't say
anything at all but if he did at least do it in terms that don't
embarass the community.
I didn't mind the bragging but the reference to "dying" were a bit
much.

yeah,that was a poor choice of words,and daniel fancies himself a stand
up comedian and mimic of accents,he gets on my nerves sometimes but he
does seem to take time out for other people.

children at their homes?do the first two even own homes?when not
playing poker their probably donating at the titty bars.

See that's the thing. Because I don't (or didn't, I've played on moola once in
the past two weeks) play anonymously, and made that known, it's very easy to
claim that you beat me but that you played anonymously. Regardless, I really
don't care either way. I've never bragged about beating somebody in Moola
because I quickly realised how luck oriented the games are. I thought that
everyone had come to that conclusion.

ill kid is to treat him like a normal kid for a while. Their whole life
they are treated differently.I guess Don Imus is a prick too for having
a ranch for kids with cancer where they expect them to work and ride

Danny's TV player persona is one of an entertainier. It's a fairly good guess
that the kids asked to play poker because they like poker and asked for it to be
Danny that they play with because they think he's entertaining.
Danny's response? "Deal faster, I have a video game to play". Maybe the kid
was trying to dump chips to Danny to get it over with.
But it did end up with Danny dumping the chips. Anybody who's ever watched TV

Sure you're a dick, and a strange anti-Negreanu stalker, and vastly

The last episode of Kids in the Hall featured skits that were
supposedly too distasteful to air during the course of their normal
season. This was one of them:

scene. Dave is standing next to the hospital bed, as Big Joe, dressed
in a baseball uniform. Bruce is in bed as "Cancer Boy".]

[Cut to later the same day. Bruce is in bed listening to the old

It's a full count to Big Joe. He's had a rough day--he's O for 3 and it
clearly off his stride. The pitcher looks in. Here's the pitch. It's a
strike. Big Joe is outta there.
Dave: [Bleep] damn. It's that Cancer Boy. He put too much [bleep]
pressure on me.
Mark [V.O.]: [soft, barely heard over crowd, may be wrong] Big Joe puts
the blame on some Cancer Boy he met earlier in the day. Well, we'll be
back with that stats right after this.
[Bruce reacts to Dave's words.]
[Cut to later.]
Dave: Sorry about that home run kid. I kinda had an off-day. I don't
know if this will make it up to you. But, I got you a twenty dollar
whore.
["Whore" enters room to the sound of "Take Me Out To The Ballgame"
playing slowly on the organ.]
Bruce: Wow. Forget the home run Joe. Let me at that whore.
[Throws of his hat.]
Bruce: Yo! [claps]
