Subject: Memo to self
|
Most people can not really be helped.
People do not like hearing the truth.
People have a hard time being honest with themselfs.
When people ask for your opinion they only really want it if you agree
with them.
Don't waste time on people that can not or do not want to learn
You would think I would of learned by now to stop wasting my time on
those that have no clue and dont want one.

Just like age, older I am the less I know. The more poker I play, the
better I get and the more I know I dont know and need help.

So so true.
Knowledge of ones poker skills is one of the best awakenings one can have with
reference to understanding old mindsets of just how good one thinks they were in
the past.

Arlo, you're absolutely correct of course. However, even though I know
these facts too, I still can't resist giving unsolicited advice to my
family members who I feel need it. Now that I think about it, when my
Mother and Father did the same thing to me, I didn't like it, but some
of it probably did stick with me.

I'm not a family member, but you've always had two pieces of unsolicited
advice for me, which I appreciate Barbara, because if you didn't care you
wouldn't bother to give them to me. They are always. QUIT SMOKING and LOSE
WEIGHT. Well, I'm doing ok on the second, still can't kick the first one.
I hadn't seen Linda Johnson in about 9 months and went to her house the
other day and she even commented on how much weight I'd lost. I guess I
knew I had lost it, just didn't realize how noticable it was because I see
myself every day.

I had the most mind blowing parents.
After the age of 21 they would never give any of us kids advice unless we asked
for it. They of course were always there to pick us up if we fell. My dad was
more concerned with me trying then anything else. I guess that is what give we
the base to live the life I have lived and do so much beyond my simple ranch
roots.

Same with advice about gambling or poker. All suckers and newbies think
they play great already. And people who are not even into gambling, well
don't ever even try to explain nuthin. You'll just get the
deer-in-the-headlights look.

I would agree in 99.5% of the cases.
Tell you I had a strang one today.
Someone came by needing adive (lol) and money a couple of weeks ago. I did both
and now they are talking about me as if I was the biggest asshole on the face of
earth because I will not fund their choice I disagree with.. Before I gave them
money based on them doing what I had recommended. Instead they did what they
wanted to with the money and blew it then showed up wanting more and when I said
no I am now the asshole etc ect.

Maybe you should have used the Arlo-Speaks account when trying to talk to
Fell and Tanya. My guess is they saw your normal "arlo payne" account,
which you've repeatedly berated RGP about not taking seriously, and
figured you were just on the meds again.
I mean really. You tell people never to take you seriously, then whine
about them not taking you seriously. Make up your mind.

What are you talking about. Trust me the post had nothing to do with Fell or
Tanya or anyone else on RGP. I was referencing (steaming) something I had done
to help someone that left huge teeth marks in my ass.
