Ted Forrest lost a big pot with a set over set.
I think he lost $85,000 on that hand. He then
proceeded to reach into his pants pocket and
pulled out 2 $25,000 chips to re-buy. I don't
even know such a thing exists. $25,000
chips.

1) Read The Professor, The Banker, and the Suicide King. It's a great
book and it was the first time that I had heard about $25k chips myself
(referred to as cranberries in the book).

2) Since you are watching Season 1, the blue chips on the table are $25k
and the white chips are $5k. I know that Negreanu has a couple of blue
chips at the top of his stack in Season 1. The $25k chips I believe were
not used in Season 2 as table stakes but they were for rebuys. At one
point, Farha busts out and then pulls out 4 chips to rebuy. They looked
pink from what I can remember, so I think that they were the Bellagio
cranberry chips, but I may be wrong.

They exist on the show ... When Negreanu tossed in 2 50K sacks on money
on another hand ... Eli Elezra looked at his chip stacks and commented
... something like ... that brick for these 2 chips ... ??
DN did that for dramatic effect ...

They exist in reality, too. The Bellagio's $25,000 chips are called
cranberries.

Geesh I found 3 of them laying on the floor last time I was there ... I
thought they were fakes and gave them to some kids to play with ... :-)

The High Stakes game wasn't played there though ... so there's still
some mystery around it on HSP ...
