Subject: Gambling on Yahtzee

Some time ago, I remember walking through the lobby of a poker tournament and
seeing a couple guys playing what they said was yahtzee, for money.  If I
remember right, they were using six dice, not the normal yahtzee five, but I
could be wrong there.

Does anyone have any information on this game and the rules?  Or can someone
point me to a link?

Thanks,

Dunno about the 6 dice version, but Yahtzee is a commercial version of
the old parlour game Yacht, which you may be able to Google, perhaps.
If you just want the rules for commercial Yahtzee, buy a set.

Speaking of wasting bandwidth, and quite possibly air:

Thanks for not reading my post so closely.  I know yahtzee, I want the gambling
version.  Thanks for wasting my time though.

Thanks for the sic-bo reference srawski.  I appreciate the help.

OK, here is a secret:

There is a little known search engine available on the internet. Due to its
relative obscurity, it isn't easy to find. However, if you keep at it, your
efforts will be well rewarded, since it is comprehensive and very fast.
Don't spread the word though; its owners are reluctant for it to be too well
known too quickly, as they fear their servers might become overloaded.

It is called Google. Using that, I found the complete answer to your
question in about 8 seconds.

Good luck!

Ah, that's what google is?  didn't know.  hehe.  I can be dense sometimes, but
try googling "gambling yahtzee" and see what you get.  Shocker, I bet you didn't
find what I was looking for.  And even though I might have missed something
obvious (I'm sure you'll point it out), trying other, what I thought were
relevant, terms, didn't come up with anything either.

Thanks for the tip though.

You don't bet on Yahtzee?

You'll be telling me next you don't bet on Pass The Pigs!

How do Ayatollahs pass pigs when they don't eat pork in the first place?

I haven't bet on yahtzee, but I have definitely bet on pass the pigs...with my 8
year old nephew.  Kid took me for like 38 cents.

They are probably playing buck a point or some other betting. I do this with
Cribdge, Yhatzee, Backgammon and other things with my wife.

You can also have prop bets too. Bet you $5 you don't roll a yahtzee here with
4444 and one more roll.

Sic-Bo is fun but the table version in the casino's is crazy. Like roulette with
all the different options.
