Hi, I'm searching for info on the practice of cashing out back to a (European) Visa card. I don't even know what this practice is technically called, and would appreciate any link to an overview of the process. I'm particularly curious what would happen if I attempted to cash money out from a Poker site to a card that has now expired. I actually have two Visa cards registered on the site I play at, one expired, one current, and I'm slightly worried any cashout might accidentally go to the wrong card. Cheers.... _______________________________________________________________ Watch Lists, Block Lists, Favorites - http://www.recpoker.com

1) What Its Called: Charge Back. Generally you can not get a refund from a merchant in an amount that is more than what was charged to that merchant on the card. Thus any excess you wish to 'cash out' must come back to you in some other way, such as cashier's check or the like. 2) Expired Card: Even though the card is expired, usually you keep the account number and get a new card with a later expiration date. Thus your account is the same account, and is still active, you simply cannot make payments using an expired card. Even if you lost the card and reported it lost so as to obtain a new card with a new account number, all current charges, as well as all refunds (charge backs) will roll over to the new account number. It is the new charges that will not go through. New refunds tend to go through although they take a little longer. Also for what its worth, depending upon where you are in Europe, you might find this link useful. It allows you to get a $100 free bankroll for Absolute. Then you won't need to worry about Visa refund issues because you didn't use a visa to begin with. http://tinyurl.com/s4aw9 Good Luck! -------------------------------------------------------------- $100 Free Party Poker Bankroll -OR- $50 Free Titan Poker Bankroll $100 Free Absolute Poker Bankroll No Deposit/No Credit Card http://www.pokersourceonline.com/freepoker/money.asp?rc=GRIMJACK808 Extra $60-$90-$120 over & above normal bonus for 12 popular sites: http://www.pokersourceonline.com/freepoker/gifts.asp?rc=GRIMJACK808 Strange Glue wrote: > Hi, > > I'm searching for info on the practice of cashing out back to a (European) Visa > card. That information can be found on the site's webpage. Each site may have different rules/practices, you need to go there. Thanks, though I am interested in this in general terms. I mean, for example, what's the practice of sending money to a customer's Visa card called? If I knew that at least I'd be able to Google it. :-) _______________________________________________________________ Watch Lists, Block Lists, Favorites - http://www.recpoker.com

I found this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chargeback However, in the past I've definitely cashed out more by Visa than I've put in, so I suspect this is something else. I believe the system may work differently in Europe (where I am) than in the U.S. - ie my Poker site offers cashouts via European Visa only... _______________________________________________________________ * New Release: RecPoker.com v2.2 - http://www.recpoker.com
