Hey Guys... Thanks for you help with this hand. It was one of those situation
where I felt like I played the hand pretty well, but wasn't too sure.
I left out a lot of info that might have led to some more 'concrete' (if I may
say so) decisions. Here are the missing links with the hand posted below. I'll
give the result too.
I had ~$1000. Villian has ~$550. (He hasn't been sitting here for long.) I
opened the pot and played this hand to mix up my play, so I'm hoping to show it
down.
I've been playing TAG in this game and have doubled my stack twice showing a
set once and AA all-in PF the second time.
A new player to my left has just sat down. He seems tight and moderately
aggressive. I haven't been playing a lot of pots. I've seen him play one with
AK.
Folded to Hero in LP - raise to 20 with 89c. Villian calls in CO. Heads up.

A blocker bet? With that board? Come on, "hero" bet the flop and got
minraised, and called. Hero wasn't doing that with a backdoor flush draw.
A blocker bet on the river will get raised. If you see my post in the
earlier thread (which nobody responded to) I correctly said I thought he
had a weak king (it was stronger than I thought, but he played it exactly
like he had the king). He thought hero might have AK so he checked the
turn, then when he caught another king he was pretty sure he was good, so
he bet again. I would have check folded the river.

It would certainly be far superior than checking and calling 60.
How much is ENOUGH, though? $44.44? Then fold to a raise? He'd have
saved $15.56, and not even had to see a showdown! Talk about win win.

Wow surprisingly bad check from him on the turn with that hand and the
flush draw on the board...maybe he was hurt from the flush draws
sucking out on him that he figured he would save the bet. But that
sure is a scared way to play.
I would not have put him on that hand, but it did get him his value bet
call on the river, so I suppose it worked in some odd sense, but it
certainly doesn't seem +EV for him to make that play..at least IMHO.
