Is he still a pro? Is he still playing? Sounds like he's making a living off being a former cheat. brewmaster wrote: > On Nov 28 2006 10:50 PM, RussGeorgiev@aol.com wrote: > > > From: RussGeorgiev@aol.com - view profile > > Date: Wed, Aug 9 2006 9:59 am > > Email: "RussGeorg...@aol.com" <RussGeorg...@aol.com> > > Groups: rec.gambling.poker > > Not yet ratedRating: > > show options > > Reply

He still plays and coaches. I've railed him on FTP and PS. Will catch him in a live game soon I hope. On Nov 29 2006 9:26 AM, fuggit wrote: > Is he still a pro? Is he still playing? Nope, wrong again. He is coaching me in stud games, and I am convinced he is the real thing. Only had 2 sessions and looking forward to more. Seriously, he's the only true poker pro left on this board, and > has stayed despite all the attempts to run him off. What is a 'true pro'? Can an 'online pro' also be a 'true pro'? If it's someone who supports themselves by playing poker, Russ is not the only one on this board. Do 'Will in New Haven' or 'MysteryAce' have "Jobs"? Igotskillz has makes post all hours of the day, leading me to believe he doesn't sleep or work. I suspect a combo of website revenue and poker winnings are his source of income. There are some poker players here. Look at that thread Russ started about laying down JJ to a large pre-flop re-raise. I believe several 'true pros' made statements in that thread. BTW, most of the people in that thread who advocated calling with the JJ even knowing the re-raiser had AA-QQ are kidding themselves. They would never call with jacks in that exact spot Russ was in. They would have convinced themselves AK was making a move, and ran their stack into the KK. Apparently the basic question isn't how many she had to drink to become a switch hitter. Rather, it's how many did her mother have to drink for her to be born a switch hitter.
