During the past couple of weeks I have noticed a couple of people that post here
give a ton of advice that sounds real good but in fact is total bullshit.
Just because it sounds good does not always mean it is correct.
In most cases dealing with poker advice one should consider a few different
options.  When you read poker advice (in general) be very afraid when words like
always and never are used.  Of course unless I use them. :0
No really just take a little time and consider all the options that could effect
what is really the correct play.

Great thread.

Small but well blended mix of RGP sniping with a rich vein of sage
poker pontifications with a dry aftertaste.

And a self-referential rating...10/10

my favorite word here is "DEPENDS"

good poker advice should constist of a thought process to arrive at some
play that orginates from the player. absolutes are truly rare in this game

Read everything critically. Just because it's stated
authoritatively online, in a book, or in a newspaper,
that doesn't make it true. Critical thinking is a very
important skill, and an underutilized one.

That's probably me. Why would I give good advice even if I could?

Whenever anyone uses words like that, they're always completely wrong.
Never use words like that, ever.

play.
