Subject: $150 + $12 - POKERROOM - WAHHOML (Worst ass hand history of my life!!!)
|
Last Saturday I played the Euro Grand Prix at Pokerrom. I qualified for it, so no real biggie, but the way this hand was played puzzles me, up until today. Unfortunately, I don't have the real hand history, but I know exactly how the hand went and have all the relevant chip counts and positions available. Multi on Pokerroom $150 + $12 Blinds 50/100, UTG: Player3 - loose agressive - T6000 - calls 100 Pos6: Player6 - loose - T? - calls 100 Pos7: Player7 - tight passive - T? - calls 100 Pos9: Player9 - tight passive - T? - calls 100 SB: Player1 - folds BB: Me - somewhat passive donkish - T5500 - checks with 23h FLOP: A22 - rainbow ME checks - Although I usually bet my trips, when hit them, I decided this time to not do it. With the amount of players in, I expected to find at least 2 players to hit their weak aces. Aces-Paint cards or higher pairs were usually raised no matter what position. UTG bets 100 All players fold except me ME - Re-raise to 400 UTG - Re-Re-raise to 1100 ME - Call Given his action, he tried to represent A2. From the hands he played during the tournament, he hit a set once. At least that's what I witnessed. This one time he first checked, then re-raised his opponent. Therefore I called the re-raise. TURN: 5c - Now we have 4 different suits on the board ME - Checks UTG - All-in ME - Calls I call, since I really thought I was ahead. If not, tough shit - next tourney! ME - Flips over 23h UTG - Flips over 3d3c - ROFLMAO This is one of the best hands I could think of facing (except something absolutely not related to the board), given I have a 3 in my hand as well. -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ PLEASE scroll down -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ RIVER: 3s - WHAAAAAAAAHHHHHH I could not believe what I saw. Sure, shit happens, but hey this is a tourney which costs $162 fucking dollars to participate. Maybe my opponent was a qualifier himself, but even under this circumstance, my opp. would need some skills to win his way in. Not the fact that I lost puzzled me, it's the way he played his hand. Could he really put me on a complete bluff after my re-re-raise-call of 1100 on the flop? What in the world was he thinking? Until today, I don't have an answer. His answer to questions from other players was quite funny: www.predict-the-river.com This is my personal Donk-of-the-Year hand. Flame away, Jay
