seemingly due to the proliferation of no-limit over the past two years, my internet research tells me that there are only 5 casinos in vegas where one can find a game of 10/20 limit hold em (or some limit game between 8/16 and 20/40) at any given time during a week. these are: venetian, wynn, bellagio, mirage, and red rock. according to what i have been reading, some other places might have some 10/20 on the weekend, but the five listed above are the only ones where you can find the game on a thursday afternoon, a sunday morning, or any time you desire. to anyone that might know: is this true? can you indeed find a 10/20 game at these places at any time? can you find one at more places? can you find one at less places? has limit hold em in vegas really sunk to basically all crap like 2/4 and 3/6? and how are the players in these 10/20 games? are they locals, tourists, beatable, unbeatable? any info is appreciated

No more. Orleans used to have a fairly consistent but useless 10-20. All of these casinos have 800 numbers if you're out of state.

It is my opinion that limit hold'em will make a comeback. I see many of these NL newbies from TV poker and left over Internet players moving to limit poker. $10-$20 will be back. The NL bubble is about to burst. Just over 3 years ago you couldn't find a NL game anywhere (except for the $1-$2 at Binion's). Now it is 3/4 or better NL in most rooms. What is weird is watching the old school $10-$20 players having to adapt to NL. It's very strange to be witness to it. It will balance out as soon as the players I mentioned above make a demand to play $5-$10 and $10-$20. It will happen. I look for rooms to open dead spreads and try to bring back these games as the NL bubble bursts. It was all a screw up when they did that instead of spread limit games. _______________________________________________________________ Posted using RecPoker.com v2.2 - http://www.recpoker.com
