Subject: "news" should have a m17 rating

Have you ever tried to watch the news with your kids. its even worse then
watching Rated R movies. you know rated R movies are fake, but the news
with all the terror-murder- and stupid people just scareds kids.
Why did he kill her
why did all those people die
why doesnt anyone help them
why dont they want there kids
why cant they find her
what does child molster mean
how can they have kids when there 12
will all the money run out
what is war and why do we war
poor vets that come from war with no legs
hell u cant even watch cartoons with out having to explain someof these
things-

In the 50's we didn't see that kind of stuff on TV. We had to read
newspapers to learn about that stuff.
Except for the vets with no legs. They were on every sidewalk downtown.

It's a step up for sure, but unfortunately it won't keep you much more
informed about all the things that are happening in the world.
Pretty much every newspaper has its own built-in biases that put their
own spin on most every story.

I worked for years with dying patients, many of whom suffered from
depression. Number one rule I gave them was, no watching the news.
