That is a question that can't really be answered. Sissy Bottoms did very well, Harman started with a buttload of money, so who knows. Annie Duke didn't do badly. Linda Johnson was/is a very consistent winner. How does anyone REALLY know who won the "most" money? I can tell you it most probably was NOT Barbara Enright or Wendeen Eolis :) > 9..What poker player columnist, quit the magazine, without notice, and > went to work for "Poker Digerst" right after Schulman bought the mag? There were more than one. Nolan, Mike, Lou (Lou reads here, don't remember if you gave notice, but I think you did). Most of the staff jumped ship mostly due to the way Barry and Doug Dalton ganged up on Caro due to RUSS GEORGIEV and the interview tape that Mike Caro recorded with his wife Phyllis. You people that are new around here, don't realize the impact that RUSS had on the "poker media" and R.G.P. at the time. PS there is no "c" in Barry Shulman's name. > 10.. Harman played small games until she inherited money, gigantic money. She was fairly cute and attached herself to young guys who were doing well. She went with a guy nicknamed Pork Chop who won several Commerce tournies in the early 90s. He was on a roll for a while. Accused me of cheating then played me heads-up. I told told him his new name would be Pork Roast. Soon after he was busted and moved to Florida. Plays on Poker Stars under the name, Pork Chop. Then Harman moved to Vegas and dated Todd Brunson, another who had money. Far more than Pork Chop could ever have and would not go broke, as Pork Chop did. Harman played in several private games in NY. Know the name of the guy, just can't think of it. High stakes stud player and cheat. They had the camera and audio in and players like Harman, Seed and a bunch of others lost large amounts. Eric Drache barred him from the Mirage cause he could read the marked cards as well as any of them, but was forced to un barr him. Truth be told, it's probably an even bet that Harman, Duke, Johnson are about even at playing poker at best. Wendeen Eolis and Barbara Enright are so much loser a person would be a millionaire if they had their losses. I doubt Sklansky ever said a word to Spilatro, as he dealt through Mike O'Connor. Sklansky is no big winner in poker. Caro is a loser in poker. Played for a living early in life. When he got any bankroll, he stepped up in class and was cheated out of it. When he started making money as an author, he played in mainly honest short handed games against the toughest players in LA. Had no idea who the cheats were. In fact, the ones he thought were cheats were honest. The ones he thought were honest were cheats. Sklansky knew enough to not go higher than 30-60, as did Malmouth and Cooke. Things are not always as they appear and most of poker is a big show. If you look at Rick Charles/aka Da Voice posts when I first came onto RGP, you'd see he attacked me with the rest. However, he was behind the scenes and soon realized how much BULLSHIT was being stated about me, especially the part where nobody supposedly knew me:). Unless you're in the TOP ECHELON, you really have no clue to what's really going on. Back in the 70s, the pack I ran with were mostly player/scammers. In the 90s, at least four were major managers in LA's top casino's.
