Their regular tourney structure is pretty bad. I was thinking of playing the 1k$ sat with same structure except 30min blinds and 5K in chips. It is somewhat more similar to when they run their bay 101 open which has a somewhat reasonable structure. You'll get into the all-in fest with people sitting on their last chip thinking whether to call getting 10-1 on their money. It always shocks me seeing someone post 2/3 of their stack in the big blind and then fold. They only run them for 1 week. March 7th through 14th. Maybe I get up the nerve to play the 2K event then I might not play the sat at all but the 2K event has to be huge -EV. Otherwise I am thinking 7th or 8th depending on the schedule. I don't know if you need to prebuy your seat. They also have what looks like crazy structure one table sats on Fri mornings. I doubt it. I usually play with the work lunch crowd and when they have reasonable tourneys like bay 101 open. LC is too much of a drive. I live in santa clara. How is the 40K tourney in LC, structure seemed not bad by bay area standards? On Feb 5 2009 5:19 PM, Porsche_Dan wrote: > Have we met? > > Do you play at Lucky Chances? I play cash games only at LC. I have never played a WTP event so that is why I was wondering about the Sats. Playing a WTP event is on my bucket list, maybe this year. Let me know when you are at Bay 101 next, I have an office in Santa Clara now. Do you play LHE or spread? I don't even know what type of games you can get at Bay 101 anymore. No Stud probably. No stud, one table omaha 4-8 with half kill. I don't play higher limit so 6-12, 8-16, 5-200 (only 200 max buy-in, garden city lets you buy-in for 400). I've seen them spread even 100-200 but not last few times I was there. Sometimes they get crowded even in the afternoon. I played bunch of prelim WPT events at Reno. The cheap ones. 500$ buy-in. Never 10K event something I want to do at least once in my life. On Feb 5 2009 6:43 PM, Porsche_Dan wrote: > I play cash games only at LC.
