In response to my "guaranteed Super Bowl lock" post yesterday, you replied that you should never tease a total UP and bet the under. Then an hour later you posted that you should never tease a total DOWN and bet it under. WTF?? And please explain why you shouldn't tease up and bet under? I actually thought Pittsburgh would cover the 7, and that the game would go under 47. If I had bet both of those I would've lost both. Instead I bet the teaser and won. If you think a game's going under, why would you not want 6 more points to play with? -------- RecGroups : the community-oriented newsreader : www.recgroups.com

If you think a game's going under, why would you not want > 6 more points to play with? First of all , you lose SO MUCH moneywise when you bet a teaser , and betting under on a teaser has its risks , especially when a game gets out of hand or there are scores at the end in "garbage time ". When you tease a game down and bet it over , and you get over your number . you always win from there . You can bet a game and when it is in contention , be absolutely correct about the pace of a game , yet get fucked at the end by a "give up" score , which means nothing . I just dont think that betting under on a teaser is all that wise . It doesnt mean that you have to bet it over , I just think that there are better spots for betting unders . Years ago , I saw some stats about betting 2 team teasers and betting 2 team parlays .. and you were light years better off betting the parlay and getting the extra money (when you win ) rather than having the extra 7 points on a teaser and laying a price . Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities. Voltaire --- : the next generation of web-newsreaders : http://www.recgroups.com

Quiet!! I'm genuinely curious to hear his answer. I'm trying to figure out if it will be "I was trolling" or "you wouldn't understand if I explained it anyway, so I'm not going to." His responses seem to fall about 50/50 between some variation of those two.
