May you NEVER "seven-out,"...

I listen to about 90% Irish so I freely admit that I'm no expert on American
music. But I'm always willing to learn. So every time some one on RGP
posts a link to what they claim is "the greatest song ever" or the "greatest
love song ever" I always click the link and listen. But Jesus wept, it
turns out to be mediocre at best and usually a total piece of shit. I'm
thinking of posting a list of my ten or fifteen favorite American songs. I
know my taste is certainly eclectic and probably eccentric but it can't
possibly be worse than some of the shit that has been posted here.

This song certainly ain't shit. I greatly prefer the version by
Kevin Fisher, who wrote the song, but I can't find a complete version
online. So, this'll have to do:

You gonna back that talk up and post something or what?

It better not be U2. Here's one for you IM:

I hate the way whoever posted it overlayed the lyrics onto the clip,
but great song.

Well, yes, I am. But it'll take a little time. Have to think about it a
bit. Just remember, I said eclectic eccentric.

Mike, sometimes a song is a musical representation of what life is. The
voices can be horrible, the tone can be flat yet still the song becomes an
anthem of how life is or was. I am blessed with the ability to travel back
in time with a young lady and this song kinda takes a humorous view of
situations i find myself in. That alone makes this song incredible. Find a
young brown woman for a friend. I promise you will cherish every breath of
life afterwards. Do it, i know you can.

You seem more obsessed with the color of a woman's skin than any thing else
about her. No offense bucko, but that strikes me as a bit shallow - no?

There is a difference. The beauty of her difference is that it can be so
wonderful. I am obsessed with everything about a woman.
