If you can use cell phones in sports books right now in NV, why can't you
get the line for a game over the phone?

I just called two places in town to try to get a line, and they both
responded to me like I threatened to blow up the casino.

Most books in town have big NO CELLULAR PHONE USE IN SPORTSBOOK AREA signs,
and it would be a violation of the "wire act" if they gave you the current
lines via the phone.

Actually no, you're not allowed to use cell phones in a Vegas Sports book.

You can now. I thought they had permanently repealed it but it's currently
in a 1 year suspension.

If you need lines, you can get them at vegasinsider.com. Just click on
the free odds tab at the top of the page. They're not real-time, but
they're close enough.
