They still have a lot of Pan 9. I go over there and play when I'm
bored. Straight gambling. There's a lot of action and energy at
those tables... I usually have to force my way up to a spot. It's 99%
Asians at the Pan 9 tables, they JONES for that shit, I like it.

Never win there though. :)

No way, Doggy. It had to be like the early 90s, no? Gosh, wasn't it a
blend of maybe the Cameo in Palo Alto, and, uhh, Sutter's in Alviso (San
Jo)? I'm having a serious senior moment right now. Help me out on this.

I hung out in that neighborhood, somewhat grew up there. When I was a kid I
even delivered newspapers to the houses that were where the Bike was built.
It was kinda a shitty neighborhood, (lot of Mexicans and riff raff, but not
as bad as Cudahy) and they've really "urban-renewed" the fuck out of it
since. I hardly recognize it now. And I was telling myself for sure that
it was '84 when it opened. Believe me, I LIVED in that mutherfucker when it
opened. I played a lot of 10-20 and 15-30 Draw there, and they also had
10-20 Jacks-back. If you ask me right now when Commerce opened I could not
tell you for sure what year. I'm having another senior moment. Seems to me
it was in 82. Holy shit, it ain't nothing now like it was when it opened.
And, of course, THAT was all Draw too. Draw, lowball, and Pan. A lot of
Pan! I think it had a 100 fucking tables when it opened. I do know for
sure that Bell Club opened in 1980. That date I'm sure of. Pretty sure it
had 70 tables. (and a very lively bar) Charlie Ventura and Dick Bisbines, I
assume you knew those guys? Bell opened when it was still all round tables,
and in fact so did Commerce.

Hey Doggy, what do you think half of these snot-nosed TV Scooter Morons
would do if they had to deal their own? (I said deal their own, not roll
their own).

Might very well be . I didnt look it up , just guessed . I made a score in
jan 84 and went to redding and made a deal to run poker ( if it passed)
back when Dukmajian was trying to stop "stud horse poker " as he called it

I though the Bike opened near the end of the year , and I fell on end of
83 . The Bike had draw poker and loball for a while before the 'stud
horse" issue came up for a vote .

I gues now I will have to find out
