I just had a quick dinner.

The plate cost 7.99, and an ice tea was 2.00.

The total came to 8.60.

I dutifully brought attention to this, and asked the lady what the total
was.

See, it's 7.99 for the plate, plus 2.00 for the iced tea, plus tax.

Well duh, I obviously need to get back to school, my math is getting a
little rusty.

I went to the hardware store on Saturday to buy 3 toilet seats. Wife
wanted wood ones with chrome hinges. I found them at $24.95 each. Not a
bad price.

I grabbed all three and took them to the check out. I put all three on the
counter being the nice guy i am i put all three side by side with the UPC
code up. The girl rang them up and made the comment about hoe she has the
same ones and that they are a deal at $25.

"Total is $56.39. Cash or Charge?"

"Wow those really are a deal. Are you sure the total is right?"

"Yup, there is both PST and GST on the seats."

"Mastercard then."

"Do you have Airmiles?"

"Yup here you go. I can't believe these 3 are such a good deal."

"I know. Have a nice day, Mr. Harrison."

"You too." as she handed me all three.

I think i am going to stand in her line everytime i go there. She's either
screwing her boss or wants to screw me. Either way I win.

I was at BestBuy a couple weeks ago and bought the game Endwar for the
PS3. One had a bluetooth with it and was 79.99. Well I already have a
bluetooth so I look for one without. There it is. 59.99! Damn. Oh well
I have a 50.00 Gift card from Christmas and some cash i will pay the extra
with cash.

I get to the register and they say 42.39. I say WOW that must be on sale.
The dude doesn't say a word. He doesn't give a fuck. I give him my gift
card, he runs it and I still have money left.

Rude fucker didn't even say have a nice day.

Customer service is dead.

Was in bestbuy with the kids a few days after xmas and
saw the Endwar game bundled with the wireless 'live'
headset for $49.99 ... looked on the other side of the aisle
and see the headset selling alone for $59.99 ... we want!

Get to the register, it rings up $89.99 ... I inform the cashier
that it was priced $49.99 on the shelf, she turns around and
tells the manager, who asks me to show her where I got it.
We walk back, she pulls the tag off the shelf saying that it
was mispriced, only the stand alone game is supposed to
be on sale for that price (even though the tag clearly stated
it was for the bundle) and ... informs me that we'd be the
only ones getting it for that price! SCORE =)

There was no "ring in", it was handwritten.

I can't decide which is the bigger robbery: Iced tea in restaurants or
popcorn at the movies. It's close, I know that much.

What popcorn? Yesterday, went to the movies... Medium Diet Code 5.00.

Hotdog 4.75 (LOL).

Gave them a hundy from the roll. CAN'T MAKE CHANGE.

They charge the crowds in 16 freaking theaters five dollars for cokes
and they can't break a hundred.

Came to my senses and remained hungry and alert until after the movie.

Who the hell even goes any more? Rude patrons, cell phones, prices like
that, not to mention the never-ending stream of utter crap from Hollywood.

If it weren't for my kids, I wouldn't have seen the inside of a theater in
25 years.

I do I do! I LOVE going to the movies. We went a couple weeks ago and
saw that Valkyrie movie (......never mind) and the theater was PACKED. I
mean packed people asking other people to move over so they could sit 3 in
a row, the front rows where nobody ever sits PACKED.

We go during the day and if you go before 6:00 it is only 4.50.

Everyone minded themselves. I ALWAYS get nervous when I sit in a theater
before it starts. We get there early cause I like to see all the previews
etc and when someone is in there early with us and loud I start worrying
they are going to be loud through the movie.

The last time we went it was smooth.

I dunno -- there used to be a Woolworth's in downtown Atlanta that did one
*hell* of a nice iced tea.

So did you just pay the $8.60?
That poor, dumb waitress probably had to make up the difference out of
her own pocket.

Are you proud of yourself for being so damn smart?

Hey, maybe it was a Senior Discount.
It could have been, you know.

Then you wouldn't have it on your conscience having stiffed a
waitress.

I went way out of my way to point out her error, but this was a bit too
flabbergasting. She can make up the difference out of her tip.

I don't qualify for a senior discount.
