Mike's thread, "Dumbest things in poker," leads to this thread.

What bugs you about online players?

I have a couple:

1) Those players that seem to take forever to play their hands. Hey, man,
it's two cards, not a fucking novel.

2) Speaking of time, those players who respond to a raise forever before
folding. Usually, it's pretty obvious that the player is going to fold. So,
wtf is that player thinking!

3) Low stacked players who stall late in tourneys. We might have 45 minutes
to go before we are ITM. Meanwhile, the blinds are going up. That really
doesn't annoy me too much, but it seems like stupid play!

Some stupid players still stall when playing Hand For Hand.. ;-)

9/10 of these are people who think stalling will get them a free card. Make
a stiff bet and take the pot 90% of the time.

Disagree on this. While it sucks to wait for these players when you
have a gigantic stack and are in a chip-acquisitive mood, they are
trying to survive to the money. And they often do, using these shitty
tactics. It's to their benefit to do it. And I've done it myself.

And Russ is right about stalling to avoid increased blinds and also to
end up on the button when the blinds have just gone up (and you can
then steal them).

You should generally play so that you *aren't* in this situation, but
you can't always avoid it, and when you can't, stalling to stay alive
long enough to cash (when you can't steal) is unfortunately the
short-stack bubble strategy when you're not likely to make the real
money but you stand to make back buyin times 2 or so just by stalling.

What sucks is when some dumbshit is doing that shit when they actually
have a stack and should be playing it instead of acting like a goddamn
pussy, and costing everyone else at the table hands they should be
winning.

For sure. But NOT when you are 45 minutes away (5 tables left; paying
top 2) from being ITM!!
