Imagine for a second my name has some meaning that is implied quite
strongly. In a short life of 44 years i have seen my family and my friends
and their famlies change a lot. People do things today in the business
world that were sure death sentences not so long ago. Madoff, UB and AP...
People used to get killed for that shit. People used to not do those
things because of what would surely happen.
The Mayan theory of time and human development
passing each other applies here. We are growing so fast that entities that
greatly affect the future come and go in lifetimes. When we were less
advanced change happened much more slowly.Times are changing really fast

I have never seen or heard anything about the Mayans, and their disdain
for Absolute Poker or Ultimate Bet

The Mayan pyramids were not wired for cable. They may have had wireless ,
but the pyramids were bad for conducting a signal from a router

Not only that, the Mayans were a worthless society that didn't survive, so
I don't put much stock in whatever they predicted.

What are you trying to say? That cheating in poker and ponzi schemes didn't
used to happen because "of what would surely happen"? I think cheating in
poker has been around as long as poker has, and certainly Ponzi schemes are
nothing new. The lure of free money always outweighs even the most extreme
deterrents.

I don't really get your second paragraph either. Take anyone who was say,
80 or 90 years old, in any time period, and compare the world when they were
10 to the world when they were 90, and the world at 90 would probably seem
unimaginable. That's just progress. Happens with every generation. In 100
years, all our technology and medical treatments will probably seems as
crude and rudimentary as stuff from 1900 looks today.

It won't take that long.
We're accellerating progress through technology, and technology has been
advancing geometrically.
