Ok here is my answer....
The Americans that chose to ride out the storm were SUCCESSFUL in that
endeavor.
The levees failed only AFTER the storm had passed, giving rogue elements
the time to weaken the levies.
The resulting catastrophe caught all off guard, including civil
authorities that had given the all clear.
As to why they were not assisted or allowed to leave after the fact, IS
ANOTHER STORY.

Not sure what your point is here mike, It seems to me that in an
emergency such as the evacuation of an urban area in despair, it would be
incumbent upon the Authorities to limit the number of tv's allowed on the
bus. But maybe you haven't thought yet about How that may be
accomplished.

I am not sure what your point is .
I would be more careful about your Obama deference. This man was not
elected . According to those more knowledgeable than me , this man was
'chose' ' anointed' .
I believe this man is the final stop gap for the urban upheaval that will
be wrought this summer.
