I don't have the book, but have looked at his blog.

Wait a second.....those 2 guys haven't ever been seen in the same place at the same time... I don't think Russ G. and Richard Marcus could be the same person. When I looked at the picture, Marcus was wearing a clean shirt and he didn't have a big beer gut. But the only way to know for sure is to follow Marcus home and see if he pulls in to a trailer park. Irish Mike

In addition to Russ's skill, he also seems to share Russ's modesty. I was particularly struck by: "then 25 more [years] as the world's most accomplished professional poker and casino cheater, inventing many of the world's best poker and casino cheating moves along the way." Certainly they can't both be the world's most accomplished cheaters. However, they also can't be lying, as cheaters never do. I just don't know what to make of it. -------- looking for a better newsgroup-reader? - www.recgroups.com

Richard Marcus used to write an article in Casino Operator (I think), which is a journal I receive a subscription of for free as a part of my job. The magazine itself is just a POS flat out, but Richard Marcus' articles were always unreadable. He was always bragging about how great he is, and telling us stories demonstrating how smart (he thought) he is, and so on and so forth. The stories relayed little information because the manner in which he cheated years and years ago are no longer valid. He does have skill as a cheat, in that he wasn't a simple quarter-on-a-string dropped, but his total obnoxiousness seriously outweighs any "contributions" he could make to casino security. -- "Actually, I will read Jason's posts too. He's smart also." - Paul Popinjay, 10/21/2007 (http://tinyurl.com/4bggyp) ________________________________________________________________________ : the next generation of web-newsreaders : http://www.recgroups.com

Russ G. is the world's greatest poker cheat - as he's told us countless hundreds of tiimes. Richard Marcus must have cheated Russ out of his cheater title. However, there are two areas where Russ G. will always be undisputed king. The first is telling, and re-telling and re-telling thirty year old poker cheating stories. The second is attacking and smearing the reputations of dead poker players who can not defend themselves. Maybe Richard Marcus is just king of the poker-cheats-who-do-not-live-in-a-house-trailer.
