The economy is in the tank and will not get any better soon. How is the poker scene going in Vegas or any other resort local. I know of at least one relatively succesful poker nut that has had to change his reliance on poker for spending money, any others you care to share. C'mon folks .... Misery loves company.... _______________________________________________________________________ RecGroups : the community-oriented newsreader : www.recgroups.com

Gamblers are gamblers. If anything the hard players are getting too tight, the easy players are playing too loose.

I know a guy who always put poker, sports and his hobbies ahead of his wife and kids. Plus, he would hit on any woman with a pulse. His wife finally got fed up and divorced him. He ran around telling every one how happy he was to be rid of her and to have his "freedom". I found that amusing considering that he had always done exactly what he wanted any way. A short time later his wife inherited $10 million+ and he never got a dime of it. Actually, I don't know if that qualifies as a bad beat or poetic justice. Irish Mike
