Subject: Hamas breaks its word, resumes firing rockets in to Israel
Is any one, other than anti-Semitic hate mongers and the lunatic liberal
left, surprised that Hamas has already broken its word and resumed firing
rockets from Gaza in to Israel? They have never honored any agreement
they've made with Israel. The best case scenario is that Hamas uses the
truce to re-arm, re-load and grab up more human shields. Now the left
wingers will start pissing and moaning about the suffering of the
Palestinian people. They never acknowledge the fact that Hamas continues to
smuggle hundreds of tons of rockets, guns, grenades and bullets in to Gaza
but can't manage a single loaf of bread or bottle of milk.

"JERUSALEM (CNN) -- Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert on Sunday promised a
"sharp Israeli response" if rocket attacks from Gaza continue. Palestinian
militants fired four rockets into southern Israel on Sunday, police said.
Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert says Israel's response will be
"disproportionate" if rocket attacks continue.

Israel was holding to its position that "if firing continues against
residents of the south, there would be a sharp Israeli response that would
be disproportionate," Olmert vowed at the beginning of the weekly Cabinet
meeting. "We will not go back to the rules of the game that the terrorist
organizations tried to dictate in the past. ... We will act according to new
rules that will ensure that we are not dragged into an unending shooting war
on the southern border."

One of the mortars landed near a kindergarten in the western Negev, but
there were no injuries in that attack or the others, police said. The
attacks were another breach in a tentative cease-fire which Israel and Hamas
militants each declared unilaterally after a three-week Israeli military
operation in Gaza which has left the territory still tense. Israel launched
the attack on Hamas in Gaza on December 27 with the stated aim of ending
rocket attacks on southern Israel."

Here's the beauty part. Hamas has repeatedly sworn to destroy Israel and
slaughter every Jewish man, woman and child. They have repeatedly said that
there can never be peace with Israel. That the only acceptable solution is
the annihilation of Israel. That was the political platform Hamas ran on -
the promise of war with Israel, with out the possibility of peace. The
Palestinian people know Hamas will use their homes and neighborhoods to fire
rockets in to Israel. They know Hamas will hide and stock pile weapons in
their schools, hospitals and mosques. They know Hamas will use them as human
shields. The Palestinians also know that Israel will always, eventually,
retaliate for these rocket attacks. Israel pulled all it's people out of
Gaza and gave it to the Palestinians. They built a wall around their
country to keep Palestinian suicide bombers out. The Palestinians could
have chosen to live in peace in Gaza. Instead they chose to elect Hamas to
continue the cycle of hatred and bloodshed. Seems to me the Palestinians
are getting exactly what they wanted. The only question is, what did Israel
mean by a "disproportionate" response? Because the 800 gorilla in the room
is that fact that Hamas is being trained, armed and funded by Iran and
Syria.

Jesus weeps upon your mortal wasted soul that will no doubt be redeemed.

IRISH MIKE< seriously, how can you post this and believe you are right
when the world can agree you are Once again WRONG.

I hoped israel could do the right thing, but they have once again failed .
And you care more for them than you do for your own country,

LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT MIKE...

You are a disgrace to the US >

Israel Broke this peace like they have done all others in the past.

Israel broke the agreed upon cease fire by launching air strike against
hamas, and the supposed tunnels. I say supposed because Israel is in
control of gaza and recently launched an occupation in which they should
have already controlled the ground.

You really need to stop sucking other countries DIK and focus on fixing
the mess you and your ilk have left at home, OUR HOME.

I am Catholic. I support Israel because they fight and kill the same muslim
terrorists that kill Americans. If you are America's enemy, and are
killing Americans, I want you dead and the sooner you get that way the

That's news to Osama Bin Laden. Al Qaeda initially declared war on America
because of our troop presence in Saudi Arabia following the invasion of
Kuwait by Saddam Hussein. How did Israel have anything to do with any of
that?

Al Qaeda kills Americans because they want America to become totally
isolationist so that they could then focus on establishing their Caliphate
without resistance from America. Should we go along with this in order to
prevent Al Qaeda from killing any more Americans?

They have a point, Mike,

Really, what gives you the idea that the left wing is against Israel?
The left wing and Israel is one and the same. Who do you think sees to
it that Israel gets all that state of the art military weapons and
nukes?

Louis Farrakhan and The "Reverend" Wright play to a niche audience for
purposes of self-aggrandizement and $ and really don't have anything to
do with the establishment Democrat party/left wing. The only reason
Wright got, or would ever get any media play is because Obama ran for
President.

Obama supported Wright's church to make a show of local black community
invovlement for political reasons; he started out in state district
politics. Obama's not even remotely suspect in his support of Israel.
He'll support Israel 100% as the Demcrat party has always supported
Israel 100%.

Good post. Disagree with the last paragraph though. There's a large
element of the left that has taken up the banner of defending Islam as
a human rights issue. Also, it's a reaction to Bush's staunch support
of Israel.

I find myself at odds with many in my support of Israel's right to
aggressively defend itself (yeah, I'm an Obama voting lefty). It
seems that reaction to the Middle East is over-the-top all around.
Either people blindly want to indict all Muslims, or, they're naive
and think that the Islamic extremists want a peaceful co-existence
like they do. Hamas is not the kind of people you want to get in bed
with or throw your support behind. And calling Israel's military
actions in Gaze the equivalent of the planned and executed mass murder
of millions of Jews in WWII Europe is absurd.

Israel is not defending itself, it is being defended by proxy of the
United States. If Israel was forced to truly defend ITSELF, then there
would be peace in a week.

Israel is surrounded by hostile muslim countries and out numbered 500 to one
by people who have sworn to destroy it and slaughter every Jewish man, woman
and child. If Israel had no allies and had to defend itself, it would only
have two choices. Be exterminated by the muslims or fight to the death.
Given that they've already been down the extermination road with the Nazis,
I believe the Israelis would chose to fight to the death. They have nuclear
weapons and they'd use them. BTW, did it sting when you had that swastika
tattooed on your ass?

Why would I support a nation that bombs civilian neighborhoods with white
phosphorous? I'll leave that to the rest of you monsters.

Western Civilization is the name of the club. Those who can
say "The Allies should not have targeted the homes of German
industrial workers for strategic bombing, even if that
restraint risked Nazi victory" don't understand the relative
importance of the club over feeling good about oneself.

And Ted Kennedy was going to run against Carter in the Democrat
primaries. The only reason Ted didn't do it is because the national
polls told him that he couldn't get elected to anythng outside of
Massachusetts.

Carter went against the left wing in his second two years in office,
and that's why the liberal media and the Democrat party slammed him
relentlessly.

When did you become spokesperson for Israel, bucko? 'Stand up' as in
what course of action? So, please try to use less rhetoric and rushbo-
regurgitation and deal in specifics. 'Israel believes' is much too
broad; explicitly who, what, where, how and when, please.

Thank-you in advance.

You tell me why Israel should trust Obama? Obama attended a church for 20
years that preached anti-Semitic ideology, then lied and said he never heard
any of those comments. Obama did not support the surge strategy and would
have retreated and surrendered in Iraq. America's success in Iraq came
inspite of Obama, not because of him. If it had been up to Obama, America
would have cut and run and al queada and Iran would now control Iraq and its
oil fields. Obama was endorsed by Hamas and Iran when he was running for
President. As soon as he got elected, he gutted America's anti-terrorist
defenses. He has said he will meet with the leaders of terrorist states
with out preconditions. Why the hell *would* Israel trust Obama?

I wish someone would turn that whole part of the world into a parking
lot.

I don't wish for it to happen bucko, but it's a definite possibility.
Especially considering that Hamas and Hezbollah will never stop attacking
Israel. Iran will not stop its efforts to develop a nuclear bomb and the
Iranian president has sworn to wipe Israel off the map. In addition, Israel
does not believe Obama will stand up to Iran. All these factors may lead
Israel to make a pre-emptive strike on Iran's nuclear facilities. Then it's
"game on".

I think you mean game over mike. Since we declared war on the axis of
evil, the united states has allowed two of the axis partners to develop
nuclear weapons. It is obvious that the U.S has no intention of stopping
any sovereign of developing arming and deploying the Bomb. Israel is a
paper tiger that is inept at defending its own populace from the simplest
of enemies.

Israel is a thorn in the side of the U.S. and only U. N. sycophants
believe otherwise.
