Curious how opinion is running in here. I'm kind of on the fence myself. Jim

There was helmet-to-helment but I didn't see anything intentional there or any way either player could have stopped the contact at the speed they were going.

After watching the second hundred times, I agree -- the helmet-to-helmet was incidental. Jim

What about the BS "no catch" call on Santonio Holmes long TD reception. He catches the ball (both feet on the ground), takes a step and then dives for the end zone and the ball squiggles out when he hits the ground and the referee says that he "did not maintain possession throughout the catch". What's next - the guy takes a two yard pass, runs 15 yards and the ball pops out when he gets tackled - No Catch. That cost the Steelers 4 points. My prediction - no fines for anyone. Croupe

> Curious how opinion is running in here. I personally winced when I saw it and winced again during the replay. It was not a dirty hit. McGahee lowered his head. He had something to do with 'where' the helmet got hit. If he was flat out running and got blindsided with a hit helmet to helmet then I can see, but he lowered his head and it ended helmet to helmet. At first I thought holy crap that was helmet to helmet then I saw it in slow mo and understood why the flag was not thrown. What a bang up game. Both games were awesome, but the Cards game deserves some more love. What a great fucking game that was. 19 unanswered points in the second half and when it mattered they went down the field. The kicking team for Philly deserves a lashing for that debacle last night. HOLY crap! ======================================== You must not think me necessarily foolish because I am facetious, nor will I consider you necessarily wise because you are grave. ======== BOOM byae John ----- RecGroups : the community-oriented newsreader : www.recgroups.com

Looks like he was trying to use his shoulder and McGahee lowered his head before he got there. This shit is happening at such speed that to expect the precise application of force at all times is utterly moronic.

WOULDNT A FOOTBALL GAME BE THE EXACT TIME TO EXPECT THE "PRECISE APPLICATION OF FORCE?" Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities. Only if you are an idiot. Did you ever play, even at lame speed?

He was not going for a wrapped arms tackle He was trying to put his shoulder through McGahee. His hands are clasped and his left seems to be pushing the right in and upward motion. Not good for tackling but good for damaging and causing fumbles. the hit IMO was clean and brutal. Chris "NO! I want this shit to STOP! Right NOW! I'm a huge Steelers fan. The hit was illegal. Played it over and over. The helmet hit first. GO STEELERS!!!!!!!!
