Last week I got a warning from Pokerstars about using Sharkscope while playing. Apparently, this has recently been made illegal. According to the warning I received you can not have the Sharkscope website open while you play. Fine. Would have been nice if they could have told me this in advance with a mass email. I had no idea. Today I lost my chat on Pokerstars for 24 hours for *talking* about a players stats. I didn't have any prohibited site open, nor did they allege that I did. All I did is mention a player's stats from memory (total tourney winnings of 17k in 2008). I know it's only 24 hours but it still pisses me off. How is this fair? I am really starting to get fed up with Pokerstars.

Mention in passing that your Congressman has clout on the upcoming internet gambling ban and you're considering writing to him about the questionable fairness of online chat rules.

I guess I will be silent soon. I'm sure they will give you a warning first. The thing is, if you read their FAQ on the issue, its clear they can see what else you have open on your computer while you play. Isn't that a major privacy concern? They assure us it's for our own good :-(
