Most of you(the ones who responded yesterday) panned the movie I suggested. Today I watched a movie of a totally different genre, but it was just as good(in my opinion) Maybe you people like this sort of thing better. THE ROAD TO PERDITION, starring Tom Hanks, Paul Newman and Daniel Craig. Speaking of Paul Newman, Tommorrow I intend to watch, COOL HAND LUKE. I usually play poker from 10am to about 2pm, and then come home and watch a movie. Walt I contradict myself? Very well then I contradict myself I am Large I contain multitudes ________________________________________________________________________ * kill-files, watch-lists, favorites, and more.. www.recgroups.com

Actually, I'd also have to add three musicals to my list. I'm a movie buff. Have seen thousands over the decades. Remember the stars and like old movies. The Fountainhead, I didn't like. In my opinion, Patricia Neal was never a beauty. Road to Perdition was entertaining. There's a French movie out now (subtitled called CASH). It's a scam movie that I really enjoyed. My favorite movies are the following. Stars Wars---First one The Unforgiven The first Indiana Jones movie Godfather II Godfather I The Four Feathers (1939 version with Ralph Richardson) Rob Roy Hombre The worst movies ever made in my opinion are Mosquito Coast with Harrison Ford and Bufflo Bill and the Indians with Paul Newman. I walked out on both of these movies. On Feb 12, 5:19=EF=BF=BDpm, "WaltWhitman" <a26c...@webnntp.invalid > wrote: > Most of you(the ones who responded yesterday) panned the movie I > suggested. I think I will have to watch it again just so that I can put it into perspective. ========================================== You must not think me necessarily foolish because I am facetious, nor will I consider you necessarily wise because you are grave. ============================== 47.5% of all statistics are made up on the spot. I recall that movie came out shortly after Ford's love interest in the movie had married Ellen Degeneres. Kinda made it hard to suspend disbelief. > > Even worse than Mississippi Burning. Huh? "Cool Hand Luke" is a great movie. I've never seen "The Road to Perdition" I'll have to check that one out. I didn't say Fountainhead was a bad movie, just not one of my favorites.

I didn't pan your movie yesterday, I panned the writer upon whose novel the film was based. I've never seen the movie although I couldn't imagine liking it if it was anything like her novels. Road To Perdition is good. ---- * kill-files, watch-lists, favorites, and more.. www.recgroups.com
