to another event? Maybe they can put on a special 'Barney' show
for the babies that prefer to stay home because the roads are icy.
If the band is going to be there, YOU should be there!

I saw them just getting out of high school in the early 90s. Great
show. Opened with 'who made who,' encored with 'shook me all night
long.' When they struck the opening to that - the place went fucking
nuts.
There's no pretense with them. None. Straight-edge power-chord blue-
collar rock. Appeals to your primitive instincts. They do it well.
I always enjoyed them. Might not be cool... and hell, they were old
when I saw them back then, but yeah.

too. Of course, only in some special nightmare would I be driving to
Tulsa in the snow and ice to see ACDC.

In fairness, Ice storms aren't something we see too often in the upper
midwest, but I was mostly speaking of the municipalities. I've spent
enough time in OKC during the winter to notice the near total absence of
plows and salt trucks. Where I come from the local pols can hire their
retarded brother. They can take money from crooked contractors. In the
more liberal wards they can be caught with a goat in flagrante delicto and
still be reelected. If they don't clear the roads of ice and snow the mob
awakens and they get strung up to the nearest lamp post by their nads.

We had planned to go and then drive back that same night. With the ice,
we'd have to take the kids and spend the night. Didn't think I should take

No. Stay in a hotel in Tulsa. We have friends in Tulsa with kids, too. We
were going to get a hotel and leave the kids with our friends while we went
to the concert then go stay the night at the hotel. But I decided that the
drive to Tulsa was too dangerous.
