That's terrible. At least you are smart enough to not risk it.

Is the venue affected? Will they allow a credit to other events there?

If the show isn't cancelled/postponed, why would they offer a credit
to another event? Maybe they can put on a special 'Barney' show
for the babies that prefer to stay home because the roads are icy.

If the band is going to be there, YOU should be there!
Leave a little earlier to make sure you get there in time.

Ice! OH NOES!!!

On the plus side you'll be saved from having to hear the same song played
over and over again with slightly different words for 3 hours.

A tad harsh Morph. I admit I did not like them, in fact made fun of them
until I saw them live.
They rocked the house, but that was like 1983ish

I first saw them in 1985 and about 15 times since. They do rock the house.

I saw them just getting out of high school in the early 90s. Great
show. Opened with 'who made who,' encored with 'shook me all night
long.' When they struck the opening to that - the place went fucking
nuts.

There's no pretense with them. None. Straight-edge power-chord blue-
collar rock. Appeals to your primitive instincts. They do it well.

I always enjoyed them. Might not be cool... and hell, they were old
when I saw them back then, but yeah.

Good shit.

Having seen the way Oklahoma deals with snow and ice I might stay home
too. Of course, only in some special nightmare would I be driving to
Tulsa in the snow and ice to see ACDC.

That is the troof. I'm always more concerned about the idiots running into
me than I am about myself losing control. Drivers here are terrible in the
usual course, but add some ice and it's just almost comical to watch.

In fairness, Ice storms aren't something we see too often in the upper
midwest, but I was mostly speaking of the municipalities. I've spent
enough time in OKC during the winter to notice the near total absence of
plows and salt trucks. Where I come from the local pols can hire their
retarded brother. They can take money from crooked contractors. In the
more liberal wards they can be caught with a goat in flagrante delicto and
still be reelected. If they don't clear the roads of ice and snow the mob
awakens and they get strung up to the nearest lamp post by their nads.

Heh...if I was single or didn't have kids, I most surely would have tried
it. Like Rainman, I am an excellent driver. The problem was no babysitter.
We had planned to go and then drive back that same night. With the ice,
we'd have to take the kids and spend the night. Didn't think I should take
the kids out in it. That's the ONLY thing that stopped me from going.

No. Stay in a hotel in Tulsa. We have friends in Tulsa with kids, too. We
were going to get a hotel and leave the kids with our friends while we went
to the concert then go stay the night at the hotel. But I decided that the
drive to Tulsa was too dangerous.

The music is simplistic, I agree with you on that. But the live concert
