I happened upon Bartley "showing how" at the .50-$1 PokerTek table at the
Excalibur last August; watched him getting stacked twice in relatively
short order on ridiculous all-ins (he seemed to be enjoying the
libations). He shoulda gave the tourists at his table one of these
'insightful' missives, cuz they didn't seem to be listening...

You fail to mention that I came with two good friends and that we were
just fooling around shoving blind. Not everyone takes the $50 max buy in
electronic tables as seriously as you do, sir.

You also fail to mention that I ended a winner, but I'm assuming you were
one of the people on the bad end of my good luck, based on the tone of
your post.

Also, a huge lol at the fact that you played with me 6 months ago and
didn't say a peep at the table (just wondering, were you one of the guys
with their heads down having a miserable time at the $50 max buy in
electronic tables, or were you one of the people joking around and having
a good time with my friends and I?) and then waited until you were in the
safe confines of the internet to drop this nugget.

To the other random haters: I understand that you guys just like to hate
on everything that happens for other people because that is in your
nature. Understood. But please try to understand that not everyone is an
advanced in poker as you guys are, Random Internet Guys Posting on a Long
Antiquated Message Board. These tips are trying to help people who aren't
that great at poker, and they seem to be relatively well met.

Reading with the ability to actually comprehend is hard for you, eh Aaron?

<cough > Uh, ah... yeah, I'm sure you did <cough>

>but I'm assuming you were one of the people on the bad end of my good luck,

And you'd assume wrong, numbnut... then again, if you could actually read
& comprehend, words in my post like "WATCHED him getting stacked",
"tourists at HIS table" and "THEY didn't seem to be listening" would have
prevented you from making such an obviously wrong assumption.

Here, I'll make it even easier for you this time, mmmmk?: I *saw* you
playing like such a donkey at .50-1 Hold'em that you woulda made Eeyore
proud.

> Also, a huge lol at the fact that you played with me

Here, this might help, Aaron: http://www.rif.org/

I've only played on the same table with you over on FT -- coupla times, in
tournies -- but seeing that it seems so important to ya, next time we're
on the same table I'll say HI, mmmmk?

>6 months ago and didn't say a peep at the table (just wondering, were you one
of the guys
> with their heads down having a miserable time at the $50 max buy in
electronic tables, or >were you one of the people joking around and having a
good time with my friends and I?)

Wonder no more, numbnut: I was the guy cutting through Excalibur from
Mandalay Bay heading to the MGM to play poker there... I only floated on
over to give a peek at the new PokerTek tables. I struck up a conversation
with the PokerTek rep (Joe...helluva nice guy...Philly fan
notwithstanding) and ended up talking to him for 'bout half-hour about
software/RNG used, development of tables yadda yadda. Not long into our
conversation, I spotted you sitting there. I was standing right behind
you, numbnut. YOUR PLAY WAS HORRIBLE (I previously mentioned the
mitigating factor of alcohol).

Sorry I didn't stay 'round long nuff to see you eek out a 'winning'
session <cough >... and I'm also sorry I didn't say hello to ya, as it
seems to have hurt your feelings. Hey, maybe this will jog your memory:
6'2 guy, built like a linebacker, right behind you on the floor talking to
Joe the PokerTek guy... anything coming back to ya?

Anyway (as an aside), Joe told me I should try out the tables and
mentioned the $500 freerolls they were running in the mornings so I
returned the next day for shit & giggles to try out the tables (I actually
liked them, for the most part). Freeroll was capped at 60 players, paid 6
places. I made the final 6... we made a deal.

If your wondering of who I am is keeping you up at nights, Aaron,
<snicker > might I suggest some investigative work, as the Excalibur made
us sign for our winnings.

>and then waited until you were in the safe confines of the internet to drop
this nugget.

"safe confines", LOL. Are you inferring something here?, you bloated runt.

"drop this nugget", ROFLMAO. Are you fuckin' DELUSIONAL? This wasn't any
nugget, you 'tard. If I or any rgp'er gave two shits about you I woulda
posted 'bout seeing your bloated ass months ago... I only chimed in now
cuz of Donkey's OP.

> To the other random haters:

Holy shit!... you ARE delusional.

Memo to Bartley: pssss, you gotta actually care to hate.

<snip rest of nonsense disparaging R.G.P. (ers) by a guy that quickly
posts to said message board moment his name is mentioned... talk about
your "huge lol"s >

this outmoded usenet board is good for bad poker advice. when you show
up, it's good for something additional: bad career and life advice.

GambleAB, my dear, dear friend, there was this time, oh, 1/16/2009 2:12
PM or thereabouts, when you let the following craziness loose on Usenet:

I don't have any dog in this here race, but I do take minor offense to
the term "Long Antiquated Message Board" when referring to Usenet in
general, and RGP in particular.

Especially coming from someone using a damn web-interface. Even if it
is the best of the bunch.

Cheers.

Huge lol at the fact that you found it necessary to come and defend yourself
on an 'antiquated message board' after finding out someone typed your name!
And within 48 hours of the OP nonetheless! Good response time.

Basically didnt everyone over the age of 12 know about this already ?

Outside of the patently obvious .. his strategy stuff is just plain lame .

What he is saying would work if one assumes that all the set-up" stuff
works

BUT IT DOESNT

it reminds me of a football announcer saying "the home team always loves
scoring 2 quick touchdowns"

NO SHIT ??
